Very proud of myself!!!

I am done the Loki hat... why I'm proud?? Well, the person who requested I make it, sent me a picture. I looked all over the internet, and I could not find a pattern that I liked or that was even close to the picture. So... this meant I had to create it by sight. The hat took me a day to make, but the horns and the emblem took me a bit longer. It was mostly trial and error, but I finally finished it!! It took a bit longer then I thought it would, as just as I was starting the horns, I had to put my dog down, but I finally finished it! I love how it turned out!!

Sorry for the disappearance...

I didn't plan on being absent so long from this blog, but as usual life got in the way... Sadly, I had to put our dog Dakota down after 13 years... it was her time, but it's taking a bit for me to get over the loss of her. Also, I've been sick with a head cold and a stomach bug... which stopped me from doing much of anything.

Also, I've been busy making ski masks, hats and scarves for everyone.  This winter has been frigid and the snow has been relentless.  One of my best creations is a Loki hat that I am now making.  I'm following a picture, and the finished project is going to be awesome!!  It was a challenge, and I never back down from that!

So much so, my little one now wants a Captain America hat... which will be my own creation as well...  Didn't think I would be doing an Avengers theme with hats, but what I can say??

I'll be posting more on here... I'm tempted to write the pattern for the loki hat down... just so someone else can try to make it themselves.

First things first....

This is a new venture for me.... When I first starting making people scarves and hats, they were random gifts... Christmas, birthday... Then I posted a pic of a hat I made myself... (It's not perfect... too big for me, but it keeps me warm!) I wanted to make a hat, so I went on the internet, found a pattern that I liked and was easy, and did it. Of course, being the first one, it took me forever to do. But, I was proud of the job I had done. I had never made a hat before, so it was a challenge for me. I posted the pic of the hat on FB, and the next thing I know... everyone loved them... and wanted them! Now, I've been toying with the idea of selling my crocheting creations for awhile, but I've always been leary about it. But, after a few pushes from my friends, I took the leap!! And here I am!!
