Busy Busy Busy!!

I have been a busy little beaver these past few months!! Christmas is almost here, and I'm just finishing up some last minute hats and a baby outfit!!  I can't wait to see how it turns out!!

The new year is another week away, and I already have a poncho/cowl thing to make, and about six pairs of slippers and another minecraft hat and mittens.  I've been lucky that Mother Nature has kept the cold and snow away to allow me to make everything that needed to be made.

I am still unpacking, and getting things where they need to be.  The Christmas tree is up and the living room decorated!!  The boys are anxiously awaiting Santa to see what he will bring them this year.

So, if I'm not able to get on Christmas Day, I am wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!

I have moved... Finally!!!

Well, we have been in our new house for just over a month. I can finally now relax and finally take a breath. Also, I got a new car... which was then hit by a deer less then ten days later. It gets fixed this coming Monday. Also, I have been asked to make an Assisin's Creed poncho, and a minecraft hat and mittens. There are also the normal hats and two cowls I have to make. I've been busy at the same time unpacking the many boxes I have to unpack. I love my new house, although I'm still trying to get used to the sounds of it at night...

Packing... and Crocheting...

So, we have sold our house... it only was on the market for about 12 hours before it sold!!  Shocked the hell out of me!!  That meant... the house hunting was on in earnest!!  We've had our eye out for a certain house for the past few months, and that was the first one we saw... which was the one we ended up buying!!

This means, the packing can be done in full force now, which it is... and I'm trying to sneak some crocheting in at night.

I made some coasters, and have now started a baby dino blanket that will go to a photographer friend of mine!!  I can't wait to see the outcome of that little thing.. as I love making baby stuff!!

Keychains, Keychains!!

I got this idea from FB of all places, when I saw a pic for an owl keychain!!  I haven't made that yet, but as soon as I saw the Flip Flop keychain, I had to make it!!  I found the pattern on ravelry... HERE it is if you want to make one yourself!!  It is quick and easy, and I added some beads to brighten it up!!

I have added them on my Etsy store, so make you go and favorite my page when you're able!!

Some changes...

I made some changes to the blog... I've been playing around and wanting to get more traffic coming and checking my stuff out...

So... I've created a button for people to take to put on their blogs, and I've also made it so people can follow me.  I'm pretty proud of myself as I created the button myself.  I love it when I learn new things!!

Been Busy...

I'm still crocheting my heart out... an Iron Man hat... Loki seems to have started an Avenger theme now... I have two more Captain America hats to make, along with a Wolverine hat that someone requested.  Who knew??

Currently, I'm trying to get my house ready to sell, so I'm busy packing and cleaning my house.  I think I am officially packed out!!  I'm sick of doing it, but it is a necessary evil to get the house sold.

This is why I haven't been posting... I'm still busy, but more busy then normal.

Loki Started a Trend....

From the looks of things, my Loki hat that I made started a trend!!  I've only to sew on the wings and A for the Captain America hat for my BIL and it will be done!!  I'll post pics of it once it's done.  Then, it's a smaller version of it for my son.

After that, Wolverine is next on the list... who knew Marvel Comics were going to be a trend??

Very proud of myself!!!

I am done the Loki hat... why I'm proud?? Well, the person who requested I make it, sent me a picture. I looked all over the internet, and I could not find a pattern that I liked or that was even close to the picture. So... this meant I had to create it by sight. The hat took me a day to make, but the horns and the emblem took me a bit longer. It was mostly trial and error, but I finally finished it!! It took a bit longer then I thought it would, as just as I was starting the horns, I had to put my dog down, but I finally finished it! I love how it turned out!!

Sorry for the disappearance...

I didn't plan on being absent so long from this blog, but as usual life got in the way... Sadly, I had to put our dog Dakota down after 13 years... it was her time, but it's taking a bit for me to get over the loss of her. Also, I've been sick with a head cold and a stomach bug... which stopped me from doing much of anything.

Also, I've been busy making ski masks, hats and scarves for everyone.  This winter has been frigid and the snow has been relentless.  One of my best creations is a Loki hat that I am now making.  I'm following a picture, and the finished project is going to be awesome!!  It was a challenge, and I never back down from that!

So much so, my little one now wants a Captain America hat... which will be my own creation as well...  Didn't think I would be doing an Avengers theme with hats, but what I can say??

I'll be posting more on here... I'm tempted to write the pattern for the loki hat down... just so someone else can try to make it themselves.
